Of all the fixtures and appliances the kitchen faucet is probably the one we use the most. According to faucet manufacturer KWC, the average family uses the kitchen faucet more than 40 times a day. Whether it's hand washing, rinsing off dishes, filling a pasta pot or washing vegetables, the kitchen faucet gets a real workout every day. So when it's time to buy a new faucet you need to know how to choose one that will do it's job and will keep doing it for years to come. But, not to worry, this guide should take much of the fear and loathing out of selecting a new faucet.
First and foremost, it is the ease of access to water that touch faucets secure for the children who are just learning how to use a faucet. When they need water, they do not have to reach the handle and operate it. They only need to reach any part of the faucet and touch it to get the water running. This relieves parents and adds fun for the children whilst helping them learn more quickly.
But when there are small children, the touch function comes in particularly handy. It is easier for them to get the water they need without asking adults for help. They don't need to reach the handle and operate it. All they need to do is to tap somewhere on the faucet. It is not likely either that they would leave the water running. It has been found that children often find it fun to tap on the faucet to turn the water off.
Question #2: How much space do you have? Before you purchase among the wide range of Pegasus kitchen faucets, you'll want to measure the area in which the new faucet will be installed so that you'll be sure it fits the space before you install it. Question #3: The handles are another matter of preference. Do you want the single handle that is turned to the left or the right to choose the temperature or the type with two handles? This type uses one handle for hot water and one for cold. The one piece type of faucet will have the handle on the faucet or there will be a handle to the side which is the same area sprayers are placed. This choice is just a preference for the one who will be using the sink.
