Miss Hertfordshire model portfolio shoot / Amy

Amy won the Miss Hertfordshire competition this year, and as well as now representing Hertfordshire in the Miss England competition, she also won a photo shoot with me and a modelling contract with BMA Model Management. As Amy didn’t have a portfolio for her new modelling career, her modelling agency asked if I could build her a portfolio with her winning shoot.

We had a great team of people involved.

New website goes live!

After almost a year of planning, researching, a bit of slacking (shame on me), a bit more researching, and finally a whole lot of doing, my new website is now live! It’s taken a lot of effort and hard work, but I am so happy with the result.

Katherine Elizabeth Millinery / look book fashion shoot

I recently did a fashion shoot for Katherine Elizabeth, a milliner who makes beautiful hats and fascinators. Perfect for weddings, occasions such as Ascot Ladies Day, and to wear “just because I want to”!

The images are going to be used in her Look Book as well as to illustrate a feature in the Claridges in house magazine.

Finding the Light

Yesterday I had a photoshoot with models Vivienne and Katy. The purpose of the shoot was to push my boundaries and improve my technical knowledge when lighting people both with natural light and using flash creatively. Constant improvement is something that I believe very strongly about, as I never want to stand still and become stale as a photographer. This not only ensures that my clients are happy by keeping my images and products fresh and exciting, but also it’s a lot of fun being able to experiment! Dedicated training days and model shoots give you the chance to do things that you simply wouldn’t have the time to try out for the first time during a wedding when time is limited, and allows you to learn and get inspiration from other professional photographers.

Alexandra Wood Bespoke Tailor / London fashion shoot

Alexandra Wood is a bespoke tailor with premises on Savile Row in London. She needed some new imagery for her website and marketing materials so we had a fashion shoot with her earlier this month in central London. Taking in the sights as well as lots of little unrecognisable corners, we had a great day travelling around on foot and by bus.
