I had been looking forward to Harriet and David’s wedding for a long time, and the day was just as beautiful and as much fun as I was imagining.
Working with my favourite florist, Daizy, who is based in the same Hertfordshire village that Harriet grew up in and where they had their church wedding, I knew that their black and white themed wedding was going to be sumptuous with all the flower preparations and plans that were going on! Harriet looked stunning in her beautiful Ian Stuart wedding dress from Mirror Mirror in Crouch End and Christian Louboutin shoes, and her bridesmaid’s black Vera Wang dress was all gorgeousness too.
Harriet and David chose Coltsfoot Country Retreat as their reception venue. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Hertfordshire, it is unassuming and friendly but with fantastic service and quality. The couple had decorated it full with flowers – around the balcony, with big candelabras in the centre of each table and a single white rose for each guest at every table place, and the marquee looked absolutely beautiful. A great contrast to their central London engagement shoot where they live and work.
And when the sun started to go down, the party began. Firstly the cheese “cake” came out (I do love a nice piece of cheese!) and then their fun first dance which they swirled and sashayed to while I captured them from above on the balcony. I stayed until practically the end of the evening, I just didn’t want to leave!
I hope you both had a fantastic time in Kenya on your honeymoon, and enjoy these images. x
