10 things you (maybe) didn’t know about me

This last week has been an eye opener for me in so many ways. Not only have I discovered that if I stay up until about 2am every night that I turn into a bit of a zombie! But I feel as if I finally understand what it is I am trying to achieve with...

Vintage themed shoot at Bristol harbour

Two weeks ago, a group of photographers all got together at Bristol Harbour, organised by Rosie Parsons from The Photography Parlour. She had arranged models, make-up artists, vintage dresses, vintage tea sets, exquisite cupcakes and flowers, a big yacht to use as our base, and lots of sunshine for the day! The fabulous suppliers were…...

Crieff Highland Games

I was in Scotland a week or so ago, visiting friends during the weekend of the local highland games. As I’d never seen the event before, we decided to make a day of it. Luckily for us (and everyone else there) the rain just about kept off and the sun even made its appearance for...

Essjay - I am delighted you enjoyed the games in their historic venue of the Market Park in Crieff. Sadly, the “Games Committee” , an unelected group who by historical accident now “own” the Market Park, sadly, they don’t value it. Or rather, they no longer value the location having been lured into a property deal with the promise of monetary gain, whereby they would sell the park and allow a supermarket to be built upon it.
They claim they receive no personal financial gain, and that as part of the deal a new “improved” games venue would be built outside the town.
This would mean the loss of the central Market Park, part of Crieffs heritage, the home of the Highland Games, and its replacement. by a supermarket.
The Games Committee (aka company “directors” of a private limited company…..) have demonstrated breathtaking arrogance and conceit in their stated belief that “they know best” for the town.
